The French artist Lucie Geffré leaves behind the portraits to show us a different reality not without complexity, through the series The Shadow of your dog, title that takes its name from the song of Jacques Brel Ne me quitte pas.
In these works the artist combines painting and dry techniques, creating a series of contrasts and tensions between the abstract and the figurative. Lucie’s paintings draw attention to the disturbing figure of the dog and the abstract landscape that surrounds and envelops the animal.
His work is characterized by innovation and originality in the plastic language, the treatment of colors and the subtlety of the details together with gravity, expressiveness and melancholy that the solitary figure of the dog gives off.
