«TOMORROW WILL BE ANOTHER DAY»
Collective show curated by Rafael Jiménez.
29/10/19 – 26/11/19
Tomorrow Will Be Another Day poses how to speak from the now, from the creation of the present and from the act of resistance that dedicating oneself to art constitutes.
The exhibition comprises a small panoramic of Andalusian artists or those connected to Andalusia (Alexander Gross, Demetrío Salces, Marta Nieto, Salvador Jiménez Donaire, Vanessa Morata, Little, Lola Zoido, Manuel García Cruz, María Morilla, Chema Rodríguez and Rafael Blanco) exploring their poetics and concerns. The show activates as a space around which small dialogues between eleven artists take the form of the works and relate to one another, contraposing completely different languages, media and aesthetics.
Resisting from within today, telling the present as the only way to generate futures. Andalusia appears as an axis or common trait containing a brief panoramic of active artists not yet subsumed by the canonical mechanics of the market and whose works and formats are not yet habitual in galleries. There are as many Andalusias as there are possible ways of being, so many new referents building a present without the prejudice of precedence and with renovated languages, made in the south. In fact, the main trait of the exhibition will be the difference between languages and the heterogeneous as a quality.
