"ON PAPER"
Collective esxhibition

29/11/18- 8/01/19
Awared by the importance of the paper throughout the history as a vehicle for transmitting knowledge from one generation to another, and that new communication technologies and digital media have relegated their use to the background; we present "On paper", a collective exhibition that is born with the purpose of claiming the uniqueness that the role offers as support of the artistic expression, precisely in the current context, just when it is hardly used.

This is a material that different artists and creators have used in the experimental field throughout the history, either as a support or as a mean in which to capture the first sketches of the work, and given its fragility and malleability, it has been mistakenly considered "minor".

That is why we wanted to bring together, under the title of the exhibition, a group of artists whose works are related to paper. Joaquín García Gesto, Lucie Geffré, Bárbara G. F. Muriel, Mercedes R. Elvira, Miguel Tadeo, David Mola, Alejandro Quintano and Cris Valencia use this material as the main means to express themselves and realize their creations, being therefore the guiding thread of the sample.

The role here is the guiding thread of a most heterogeneous exhibition, not only in terms of the techniques employed, but also of the artists themselves, present here several generations and nationalities. In short, a varied selection of quality that reveals the capacity of the role as support of the artistic expression.
