If there are artists whose technique and constant experimentation leave no one indifferent, that is Rafael Jimenez. The novelty of his work is that he uses plasticine as a pictorial material, a material that has theoretically been used in the field of sculpture, and that allows the artist to cover, deform, distort, reinterpret... giving your pieces a bulky and tactile character.

Interested in the mechanisms by which the collective imaginary that forms our History is constructed and in the way in which these are opposed to the individual processes that articulate the memory, his works propose a reflection on time and man. The manipulable nature of these concepts materializes in the work of the Cordovan artist through the distortion and deformation of recognizable iconic images that have acquired the status of untouchables and indisputable.
